Dear iProA Members & Friends,

It is my honor to be elected Honorary Secretary of iProA in December 2007, and I treasure this very first time meeting each of you here.

In co-chairing the Special Interest Group in Venture Capital and New Business Development, Shirley and I have organized several breakfast meetings by inviting renowned VC experts to share with our members their experience in financing and managing start-ups. Despite the early hours, our breakfast talk series has gained much attention and traction among members, resulting in full-house booking well in advance. This is very encouraging and we hope to do more.

Thanks to Winnie and the Council, I have also taken up the task to chair the Organizing Committee for the iProA Annual Dinner 2008, which will be held on April 24 at Hotel Miramar. For the upcoming event, we have the pleasure of having Mr Earl Mardle, Chairman of the Grand Jury of Stockholm Challenge, as our Guest of Honour. Taking this opportunity, I am also inviting you to join us on April 24 to celebrate the Association’s accomplishments in 2007, and to network with our friends in the ICT industry.

Once again, I am most grateful for your support to iProA and our activities. Looking ahead, the Association will continue to serve the industry and the community through various initiatives and functions. Among them, “e-Inclusion Campaign” and “eHealth Consortium” are projects of great significance and importance in 2008, the success of which are closely tied to members’ unfailing support. I hope to be able to count on your continual support and witness a community-wide enhancement in Internet adoption and health care service in the near future.

Finally, I look forward to seeing you all at the Annual Dinner very soon and wishing you a very enjoyable evening.
