Dear iProA Members and Friends,
This Summer is especially busy for iProA as a number of our community-wide events have been launched to inject new energy in the ICT industry. I am glad that the First Seminar under the Digital Lifestyle Series launched by iProA on June 23 received favorable response from diverse industries and professional groups. We have taken a bold step to solidify pan-industry efforts to promote the digital lifestyle concepts. I’m grateful for the concord reached at the industry and professional levels, which is built upon our shared mission to use technologies to enhance the quality of life and bring about the overall advancement of the society.
Aimed to promote the value of technology in enhancing the quality of life, iProA has launched the Digital Lifestyle Initiative since June this year. We will ride on a series of events to expedite the collaboration with associations and different levels of government departments between Hong Kong and Mainland China. The 2 nd seminar will take place at the Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival on 25 August, targeting at the general public; the 3rd one will take place at the 3rd International Conference on Digital City to be held in Shenzhen on September 21 – 23. The 4th event will be the Digital Lifestyle Forum, which is the most important event in the seminar series, will be held on Nov 21 – 22, 2007 at Cyberport. It will be jointly launched iProA, the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers-IT division, and School of Design of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Internet Society of China. The success of the Digital Lifestyle Initiative relies on your support. I would like to extend a warm invitation to you all to take part in these meaningful events!
Best regards,
Dr. Winnie Tang President Internet Professional Association
