IT Sector National Day Celebration Dinner

A banquet organized by Hong Kong's I.T. sector was held in celebration of the 58th National Day of the People's Republic of China at the Ballroom of the J.W. Marriott Hotel Hong Kong on 24th September 2007. The celebratory dinner was hosted by Hong Kong I.T. Sector National Day Celebrations Organizing Committee (香港資訊科技界國慶活動籌委會) and organized by the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council (ITJC), with 27 co-organizers including iProA and 5 supporting organizations.

The National Day banquet commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. William Li (李威廉), Chairman of the Hong Kong I.T. Sector National Day Celebrations Organizing Committee and a speech by the event's guest of honour Mr Li Gang (李剛), Deputy Director of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR. The night's activities consisted of many games, lucky draws and a special performance by 2008 Beijing Olympics Youth Volunteers (北京奧運資訊科技界青少年義工團). A festive atmosphere permeated the dinner as professionals from the I.T. industry lay aside their demanding business schedules in celebration of China's National Day and many seized this opportunity to catch up with old friends and colleagues from the industry.
