Seminar on “Digital Lifestyle: Innovations for better living”

Recognizing the growing prominence of Digital Lifestyle in both Hong Kong and mainland China, the Internet Professional Association (iProA) has formulated the Digital Lifestyle initiative in a joint effort with the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers-IT division, and the School of Design of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and engaged the support of nineteen professional organizations to form a critical mass to initiate early and swift actions in driving Hong Kong as one of the worldwide leaders in this key area.

As a part of the Digital Lifestyle Initiative, iProA will organize a seminar series to illustrate the Digital Lifestyle concept to our target audience who are mainly opinion leaders from the ICT industry. The first seminar entitled “Digital Lifestyle: Innovations for better living” was organized on 23 June 2007.

The result of the seminar was encouraging. It had drawn more than 80 participants from diverse fields such as ICT-related business, electronics, manufacturing, professional and industry associations. Though we have achieved a good start in our Digital Lifestyle initiative, we would not show any complacency as it is a long-term commitment and its success require enduring effort and support from diverse sectors in the society.
