Press Conference - Alarm to Hong Kong's Global Competitiveness - Declining Trend of the City's ICT Development

In response to the alarming trend revealed by the recently released Global Information Technology (GIT) Report 2006-07, which indicated a declining trend in the international ranking of Hong Kong’s Networked Readiness Index (NRI) over the past three years.

As an industry association dedicated to advocate applying ICT to enhance the economic prosperity of Hong Kong, iProA is seriously concerned about this alarming trend. We organized a press conference on 12 June 2007 to discuss its implication to the long-term economic competitiveness of Hong Kong in the global arena.

The following issues were explored:
