Events ¡@ Coalition for Defending the Status of Technology As part of its plan to reorganize the policy bureaux, the HK Government proposed to create a new bureau namely, ¡¥Commerce and Economic Development Bureau¡¦ by merging the existing Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau (CITB) and part of the existing Economic Development and Labour Bureau. Joining the rally were Dr. Winnie Tang, Dr. Elizabeth Quat, Mr. Ringo Lam, Mr. Stanley Cheung, Mr. Kenny Chien, Miss Yvonne Wong, Mr. Matthew Lui, Mr. Kwok Sui Ping, Mr. Witman Hung, Ir. LC So, Mr. Cheung Yiu Shing and Mr. Dominie Liang, among other 60 ICT professionals, academics and executives to urge the policy makers consider the strategic importance of IT in the economy.
