British Computer Society 50 Anniversary Annual Dinner

iProA was pleased to join the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the British Computer Society (BCS) on 25 May 2007. This year, the annual dinner was held at Excelsior Hotel. Our President Dr. Winnie Tang and Exco Member Mr. Matthew Lui were invited to attend this wonderful event on behalf of iProA. Dr. The Honourable David LI Kwok-po, GBS, Hon. LL.D.(Cantab), JP, Non-official Member of the Executive Council, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Bank of East Asia Limited graced the occasion to be the Guest of Honor and officiated at the opening ceremony. Hundreds of participants, including guests from the HK and China government, other IT associations and prominent figures in IT commercial sectors from Hong Kong and China, had joined this wonderful gathering.

The BCS (Hong Kong Section) has been operating in Hong Kong since 1989 as one of the international sections of the BCS and a local coordinating body for BCS members in Hong Kong. iProA collaborates with BCS every year in various initiatives for promoting ICT in Hong Kong.
