SIG in Venture Capital and New Business Development: Breakfast Meeting

The SIG in Venture Capital and New Business Development organized a breakfast meeting entitled “What are the ingredients for attracting Venture Capital?” on 23 May at the office of Mr. Leo Kan and Ms. Shirley Ha, Co-Chairmen of the SIG, in Exchange Square. It was aimed to provide a platform for startups and entrepreneurs to learn about venture capitals and the considerations of investors in their investment decisions. Mr. Simon Wong Kwong-chi, General Partner of Asia Global Capital and Former Chairman of Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association spoke about the essential ingredients for entrepreneurs to arouse interest from investors and his perspectives on the talent market in Hong Kong. The participants and Mr. Wong had a fruitful sharing of experiences after the in-depth presentation by Mr. Simon Wong Kwong-chi.

SIG in Venture Capital and New Business Development was set up to provide a platform for exchange of dialogues between ambitious entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. It helps to enrich entrepreneurs and start-ups with knowledge about the channels of fundraising in order to ease them of the challenges caused by capital constraints. Meanwhile, the SIG provides a new avenue for investors to learn about new ventures and business with lucrative potential.
