Seminar and Launching Ceremony of eYouth Mentorship Program

The Junior Committee of iProA hosted a seminar entitled “Dialogues with the Experts: Building a successful ICT career and Entrepreneurship” on 12 May, 2007. The seminar was hosted by Dr. Winnie Tang, President of iProA, and joined by Mr. Richard Li Tzar-kai, Chairman of PCCW Limited, Mr. Jason Fedder, Asia Pacific Enterprise Marketing Director of Intel Corp., and Dr. Elizabeth Quat, Immediate Past President of iProA, Director of SC Fulfil Limited & Founder and CEO of CB Strategic Investment Limited, who shared their perspectives on ICT industry and its outlook. The three speakers also shed lights on the key to a successful career in the ICT industry and the competitive edges of Hong Kong with more than 100 participants at the seminar. The participants, who are mostly university undergraduates with majors in IT-related or business disciplines, found the speakers’ sharing had enabled them to gain better understanding of their targeted career field and provided valuable information for their career planning.

Our President Dr. Winnie Tang was gratified by the encouraging response of the seminar. She commented that iProA should continue to encourage youngsters to develop a career in the field. She deemed it necessary to encourage innovation and entrepreneurial spirit so that ICT industry may flourish with diverse talents and sustain with new ideas in the fast-changing world.
