HKIE I.T. Division - Annual Conference 2007 "Biometrics: Technology, Applications and Privacy" and Dinner

Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Information Technology Division (HKIE, ITD), a close partner of iProA, organized its Annual Conference and Dinner on 4 May 2007 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Conference, entitled “Biometrics: Technology, Applications and Privacy”, was attended by experts in Hong Kong and from other countries such as Netherlands, the U.S., and Japan who shed lights on the conference theme in their keynote speeches and the discussion sessions.

The conference provided a meaningful platform for exchange of dialogues among experts from different parts of the world on Biometrics and the issues involved in its applications. Our President Dr. Winnie Tang believes that the synergy of ideas will introduce innovative elements to the development of the technology and fosters advancement in its usage. The Annual Dinner of the HKIE, ITD took place after the conference. More than a hundred participants from IT companies and industry associations were invited to join the dinner. It was an enjoyable evening for the industry players to network with their old and new friends and share business ideas.
