Introduction
The Internet offers users an unprecedented wealth of knowledge but to utilize this source of information, users require access to personal computers with internet connectivity. The Digital Divide refers to the gap between those people with effective access to information technology, and those without access to it. This includes the imbalances in physical access to technology, as well as the imbalances in resources and skills needed.
To narrow digital divide through constructive direct action is one of the missions of the Internet Professional Association (iProA). We initiated the Web Care Campaign in 2001, formally renamed as e-Inclusion Campaign in October 2005, to address this issue as it is our belief that everyone in the community ought to enjoy equal opportunities to learn and make use of knowledge available on the Internet.
