ABOUT US
The Internet Professional Association ("iProA" or "we") is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of our user community's personal data ("Personal Information") with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.

This privacy policy sets out the Personal Information that iProA may gather about our members, volunteers and any other individuals who visit our websites or respond to our surveys or enquiries ("Users"), how such information is used, and our disclosure practices in compliance with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong) (the "Ordinance").  Please note that this policy applies only to iProA's websites and not to the websites of other companies or organisations to which we provide links.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION
We collect the following Personal Information from each User:

• unique identifiers;
• name; and
• e-mail address

At the option of any User, we may also collect the following data:

• Preference data;
• Job Title; and
• Name of User's Employer

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your Personal Information may be retained and used by (a) iProA; (b) any of our directors, officers or employees of iProA; and/or (c) any of our authorised persons (such as lawyers, advisors, etc.) for any of the following purposes:

• operation and enhancement of iProA's business;
• communication between you and us;
• statistical analysis;
• marketing or promotional activities (the User may opt out of this usage by email to iproa@iproa.org);
• any purpose relating to or in connection with compliance with any law, regulation, court order or request of a regulatory body; and
• any other purpose relating to or in connection with the activities of iProA.

LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY SITES
iProA may provide links to third-party  websites as a service to our Users. Please be aware that we cannot control and are not responsible for the information collection practices of such third-party  websites. We encourage you to review and understand the privacy policies on these  websites before providing any information to them.

SECURITY
iProA will strive to ensure an appropriate level of protection for your Personal Information in order to prevent unauthorised access, processing or other use, commensurate with the sensitivity of the data and the harm that would be caused by unauthorised access to your Personal Information. However, given the fact that the Internet is not a totally secure medium, we cannot guarantee that unauthorised persons will not obtain access to your Personal Information.  Accordingly, we disclaim any liabilities that might arise in circumstances that are beyond our control.

CONSENT
By using iProA's websites, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your Personal Information by us in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and elsewhere on the websites.  We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time.  We will alert you to any such changes by updating this Privacy Policy.

ACCESS TO, CORRECTION AND/OR DELETION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will only retain your Personal Information for as long as the purposes for which it was collected exist.  If you wish to delete your Personal Information held by us, please contact us by email to iproa@iproa.org.

Under the Ordinance, you have the right to check whether iProA holds your Personal Information, request access to and correction of your Personal Information held by iProA, and ascertain iProA's policies and practices in relation to Personal Information.  In addition, iProA has the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any Personal Information access request.  If you wish to access or correct your Personal Information held by us or ascertain our policies and practices relating to Personal Information, please email your request to iproa@iproa.org.
