Dear iProA Members & Friends,

Comparing with when iProA was founded 10 years ago, the Internet is no longer just bunches of PCs connected through public wires. The Internet now becoming an unlimited virtual space which everybody in the globe not only sharing information but also creating what they want using their unbounded imagination.

At iProA, we embrace the compelling obligation to facilitate the development and application of this rocket-propelled technology in the local industry. In August, we have organized a small delegation to the China Internet Conference 2010 (中國互聯網大會) which was held on August 17-19, a great sharing and networking opportunity with our Chinese counterparts. We also take great pride on the victory of Hong Kong students at the final round of the 2010 Amway Pan-Pearl River Delta Region Universities IT Project Competition to have swept away five big prizes this year where Mrs. Rita Lau especially sent them personal congratulatory messages. We are proud of their innovative talent and how this kind of event can provide the motivation and incentive to inspire our youngsters.

Upcoming event worth noting is the Hong Kong ICT industry delegation tour to the Hong Kong ICT Week @ Expo scheduled to be held in Shanghai on September 13-16. It is a valuable event for all Hong Kong ICT industry leaders and practitioners. I would hope you will join me, and friends of iProA to participate in this and more upcoming events.
